Russian invaders launch missile strikes on downtown Kharkiv
The relevant statement was made on Telegram by Yevhen Vasylenko, Spokesperson of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Missile strikes have just hit the central part of the city. Kharkiv City Council, Palace of Labour, residential apartment blocks. There are destructions in the central structure. Rescuers are at the scene, we are working,” Vasylenko told.
In his words, the residential house was damaged. Rescuers are inspecting every apartment and helping people to get out. There is information about a little child who requires assistance.
A reminder that Kharkiv has been continuously under shelling launched by Russia over the past day. In the morning of March 1, 2022, Russian invaders launched a missile strike on Freedom Square, killing at least seven people. Missile and artillery strikes were launched on residential houses in such districts as Pivnichna Saltivka, Nova Bavaria and downtown Kharkiv.
