Kharkiv: Enemy trying to encircle city, suffering losses, losing offensive pace

“The enemy is trying to continue its offensive on the city of Kharkiv, the town of Lozova, advancing and trying to capture Kharkiv from the west, while suffering catastrophic losses in armaments, military equipment, manpower. Currently, the pace of this offensive is slowing down,” non-staff adviser to the Head of the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych said at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.

As Arestovych assured, Mariupol is holding fort, the situation there is under control.

Zaporizhzhia and Enerhodar are under Ukraine’s control, ready for defense. The South-Ukraine and the Zaporizhzhia NPPs are safe.

As noted, the enemy tries to advance towards Mykolayiv for the second day, suffering devastating losses and "can't brag of any tactical success, let alone operational".

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hold the main positions in the Joint Forces Operation area in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian troops are stationed and fortify their positions on the outskirts of Horlivka, distracting forces and attention of the enemy significantly.

Moreover, the reports of Russian ships allegedly moving towards Odesa were "gladly received by the defenders of Odesa, who are looking forward to meeting the enemy."

As reported, on February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.

Russian troops are killing civilians, shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, and missiles hit Ukrainians' homes.
