President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky once again called on president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to sit down at the negotiating table.

"He said what we have to give. What do you want from us? Get out of our land. If you don't want to go, sit down at the negotiating table. I am free. Sit with me, but not at a distance of 30 meters like with Macron or Scholz. I'm a neighbor, I don't need to be kept 30 meters away, I don't bite. I'm a normal man, sit down with me and talk. We are not terrorists," Zelensky said in an interview with foreign media, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He reiterated that Ukraine had never planned to attack anyone, but now has to defend itself.

Asked whether there are enough weapons today, the president said the weapons was not a point. "There are ten times as much of them [Russians], but they are ten times smaller than each of us on our earth. The number of these people who come to us does not matter. Their goal does. Our goal is protection and freedom. There are no other values, because our children are our freedom. What will be left after me? My children. I want them to be alive. I don't want anything else. I just wish this to everyone. And their goal is to bring the people to their knees, multinational people, who feel equal regardless of their roots or the language they speak,” he said.

The President believes that Russia is afraid of our freedom and ability to unite because Ukraine is free and united, its government and people stand together.

As reported, on February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.

Russian troops are killing civilians, shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, and missiles hit Ukrainians' homes.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of the entire nation, courageously resist Russian aggression.
