1 killed, 4 injured in enemy shelling of Byshiv village, Kyiv region
The Fastiv District Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings over the shelling of the village of Byshiv, Fastiv district, Kyiv region, by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The actions of the aggressor are qualified as violations of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
“It has been established that as a result of artillery shelling on the evening of March 3, a shell hit a village house of culture, three cars were burned down. A civilian who was nearby at the time received fatal wounds and four more people were injured,” the statement reads.
Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the invaders have carried out 47 attacks on civilian facilities in the territory of Kyiv region. As a result, 25 civilians, including two children, have been killed. A school in Borodianka and an orphanage in Hostomel came under fire.
The airfield in Hostomel together with Mriya Ukraine’s most powerful aircraft were completely destroyed.
Missile and artillery strikes almost completely destroyed Borodianka's civilian infrastructure and Bucha's private sector.
Kyiv region prosecutors have registered 69 criminal proceedings over Russian war crimes.
On March 3, law enforcement officers opened a criminal investigation into the shelling of residential buildings in the village of Hatne, Kyiv region, as a result of which one civilian was killed and another was injured.
