Over UAH 7.8B raised for Ukrainian army - NBU

As of March 4, the special account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine received over UAH 7.8 billion in equivalent, according to the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
According to the NBU, part of these funds totaling UAH 5.4 billion has been already transferred for the needs of the military, in particular: UAH 3.702 billion was allocated to the Ministry of Defense; UAH 450 million to the National Guard; UAH 850 million to the National Police; UAH 420 million to the State Border Guard Service. The balance on the special account is UAH 2.4 billion.
As reported, the NBU governor on February 24 announced the opening of a special multi-currency account to raise funds for the Ukrainian military. The information about the account is available on the central bank’s website.
