Ukrainian Air Force shoots down five enemy planes, four helicopters on March 5
The Ukrainian Air Force Command reported this on Facebook.
In particular, three helicopters were shot down by a Ukrainian Air Force marine.
A Su-25 attack aircraft and a helicopter were shot down by servicemen of the South Operational Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
Two Su-34 fighter-bombers were shot down by servicemen of the North Operational Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
Two Su-30SM fighter aircraft were shot down by servicemen of the South Air Command of the Ukrainian Air Force.
The air defense units also shot down an Orlan-10 drone and several cruise missiles flying into peaceful Ukrainian cities.
In total, as of 23:00 on March 5, Russian occupation forces lost 44 planes and 44 helicopters since Ukraine was invaded.
Enemy pilots who ejected and survived were found by Ukrainian soldiers. They received medical treatment and are already testifying about the Putin regime's crimes against humanity.
The work of the Ukrainian Air Force's attack aircraft was also noted - Su-24M bombers and Su-25 attack aircraft, which carried out several air strikes on enemy convoys, inflicted powerful missile and bomb strikes.
Earlier, in the Chernihiv region, the Ukrainian military defeated enemy forces, stopping their advance towards Kyiv.
