Mothers and wives of Ukrainian defenders urge Russian women to stop war

The Russian military are bringing Ukraine death, destruction and tears, and this is why they are met here as enemies.

The relevant statement was made by the mothers and wives of Ukrainian defenders in their address to Russian women, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The one who called himself a brother has vilely broken into our home and taken the lives of thousands of our soldiers. Our sons and husbands, fathers and brothers were rightfully defending their land, their Motherland, their home and family. And all the Ukrainian people bury them as heroes. And you? Why are you men coming to a foreign land? They are bringing us death, destruction and tears… They are not welcome here, as they come with weapons. Hence, you should not be surprised they are met here as enemies. And then you have to receive a Cargo 200. In the name of what are YOUR sons sent to slaughter? Would you need your life without your loved ones? Many of us now know for sure – NO! After burying them, you are burying yourself alive. Would you need such existence?” the report states.

Ukrainian mothers and wives are calling on Russian women not to believe the poisonous Kremlin propaganda, turning the aggressor state’s citizens against Ukrainians.

“Please, believe us, not propagandists but ordinary Ukrainian women. Ukraine is a peaceful country, and now we are simply defending our land. We have not attacked anyone, and we are not planning to do so. Ukrainians just want to LIVE, work, raise children, cheer, develop, travel, look to the future with confidence, dream!.. Don’t you want the same? Then why would we need to fight against each other?” Ukrainian women asked.

They are calling on Russian women to make every effort to prevent their sons, as well as Ukrainian civilians and defenders, from dying.

“Please, raise your voice against this madness – it is you who can stop it for the sake of your children! Go to squares in your cities and protest! Say ‘NO’ to death; say ‘YES’ to the lives of your children and grandchildren,” Ukrainian women stressed.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. The Russian military are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile strikes on residential districts in Ukrainian cities and villages.
