Pentagon: Russia has brought almost 100% of offensive formations in Ukraine

“Russia has committed nearly 100% of the combat power that had been staged on the border of Ukraine and in Belarus,” a senior US defense official told journalists on Monday, CNN informs.

The Pentagon representative also informed that Russia had launched more than 625 missiles against Ukrainian facilities.

The official noted that while the airspace over Ukraine was still contested, the US assesses that Ukraine had “the vast majority” of its aircraft available, as well as surface-to-air weapons to defend the airspace.

On Sunday, the Pentagon estimated that Russia had already deployed in Ukraine 95% of troops previously amassed near the Ukrainian border under the guise of exercises. This means that now Russia has almost completely exhausted the available potential for the offensive on Ukraine and is forced to seek additional reserves.

The war against Russian invaders has been going on in Ukraine since February 24.
