First stage of evacuation from Sumy started – President's Office

The first stage of the evacuation of the population has begun in the city of Sumy.
Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Sumy has been given a green corridor, the first stage of evacuation has begun," he said.
Tymoshenko also released a video showing evacuation convoys with civilians leaving the city.
Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, said earlier that an evacuation corridor for the city of Sumy along the Sumy-Holubivka-Lokhvytsia-Lubny-Poltava route was to open on March 8.
