Nuclear war may start even without launch of nuclear missiles, due to Russia's actions – Galushchenko
This is stated in the address of Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko to international partners, available to Ukrinform.
Galushchenko calls on international partners to close the sky over Ukraine. Recalling the seizure of the Chornobyl and Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plants, he stressed that every day since February 24, the world is teetering on the brink of a catastrophe that will be much worse than Chornobyl and Fukushima combined.
"Nuclear war may start even without the launch of nuclear missiles. If this happens, the whole of Europe will have to hide in shelters, trying to escape radiation. And you will know who did it, despite the fakes and propaganda. But it will be too late," reads the address.
In addition, Galushchenko stressed that the world saw brutal aggression against Ukraine, bombing of peaceful cities and killing of civilians. "As a result of the war, at least 38 children have already died. This seemed impossible in Europe of the 21st century. However, this is true," the minister said.
Galushchenko called on international institutions and organizations to use all their capabilities and efforts and establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine before a catastrophe occurs.
As reported, ZNPP has been under the control of the Russian army since March 4. The enemy captured the Chornobyl zone on February 24.
The war against Russian invaders has been going on in Ukraine since February 24.
