Defense ministry: Enemy suffers significant losses near Borodianka and Makariv

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on its Facebook page, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The defense forces continue to conduct a defense operation within the Southern, Eastern and Northern operational areas. In eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders are holding the enemy back in three operational districts, namely Donetsk, Slobozhanskyi and Tavriiskyi. In the North-Western direction, certain defense force units are covering the state border with the Republic of Belarus. A defense operation is also underway within the Polissia and Volyn operational districts. Near Borodianka and Makariv, during the offensive operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy suffered significant losses. Chernihiv is keeping the defense strongly,” the report states.

In the city of Kyiv, defense forces are maintaining the determined defensive lines.

“Russian occupiers are demoralized. The psychological condition of the Russian military is rapidly deteriorating. Meanwhile, the information units of the Russian Armed Forces are preparing psychological actions to undermine trust in Ukrainian government officials at the local level,” the ministry stressed.

A reminder that Russian invaders launched a missile and air strike on a maternity and children’s hospital in the city of Mariupol.
