Fighting in Luhansk region abates not for a minute
"Luhansk region holds the fort, mourning the lost population, but every morning finds the strength to repel the enemy, forcing it to retreat. Courageous and strong, free ... The situation is extremely difficult. Fighting abates not for a minute. Many victims. No communications. Twenty-seven populated localities were completely left without power, 11 were partially left, a total of 115,461 consumers. There is no gas, no water, no heat,” Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
He stressed that the faith of the region's residents in Ukraine’s Armed Forces is endless.
"Every day Luhansk region goes to rallies against the Russian occupation. Nobody wants to be in a fictional ‘LPR’ or in Russia, under the leadership of a madman!" the head of the regional administration stressed.
As reported, on February 24, president Putin announced the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, massively hitting residential areas of Ukrainian towns and villages using artillery, multiple-launch rocket system, and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
