Zelensky, Johnson discuss increasing sanctions pressure on Russia

President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed increasing sanctions pressure on Russia and further support for Ukraine with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
“Had another conversation with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Discussed increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, further support for Ukraine in fighting the aggressor, including defense assistance. Appreciate UK’s leadership in countering the crime Russia is committing on Ukrainian land,” the Head of State posted on Twitter.
On February 24, president Putin announced the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, massively hitting residential areas of Ukrainian towns and villages using artillery, multiple-launch rocket system, and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
