U.S. believes Russia can use chemical weapons in Ukraine

The United States is seriously concerned about the possibility of Russian forces using chemical or bacteriological weapons in Ukraine to conduct a false flag operation or to support tactical military operations on Ukrainian territory.
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield said this on Friday at a meeting of the UN Security Council, initiated by Russia, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We believe Russia could use chemical or biological agents for assassinations, as part of a staged or false flag incident, or to support tactical military operations," she said.
Thomas-Greenfield also recalled that the United States had warned the world about the Kremlin's intentions to create a pretext for invading Ukraine, including with narratives about the alleged development of chemical and biological weapons in Ukraine. And China helped Moscow spread this disinformation and thus supported Russia's outrageous lies, the ambassador said.
