Zelensky awards Hero of Ukraine title to eight service members

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded the Hero of Ukraine title to eight servicepersons, six of them posthumously.
That's according to decree No. 127/2022, published on the website of the head of state.
The Hero of Ukraine title with the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously) was awarded to Senior Sergeant Serhii Vasich, Sergeant Inna Derusova, Soldier Kostiantyn Mrochko, Senior Soldier Vitalii Parkhomuk, Soldier Oleh Svynchuk, and Sergeant Andrii Khanin.

In addition, the Hero of Ukraine title with the Order of the Golden Star was awarded to Senior Lieutenants Volodymyr Hutsul and Volodymyr Chornyi.
As of March 12, about 1,300 Ukrainian troops were killed in the war with the Russian Federation.
