One killed, six injured as remnants of rocket fall in Kyiv
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The enemy attacked Kyiv today. Early in the morning, a shell hit a nine-storey residential building in Obolon. According to updated data, one person died and ten were injured. About 70 residents were evacuated from the house," he said.
According to Klitschko, just recently the debris of a rocket fell on a road in Kurenivka. One person was killed and six were injured. An ambulance hospitalized two persons.
"The trolleybus, which was without passengers, was completely destroyed. The windows were blown out, the balconies of the surrounding houses and commercial premises on the ground floors were damaged. Rescuers and ambulance crews are working on the spot," he said.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure and residential houses.
