Nine people killed in missile strike on TV tower near Rivne
"This morning, March 14, two missiles of the occupiers hit the TV tower and administrative building near Rivne. As of 18:00, we have 9 people killed and 9 wounded. Some people still remain under the rubble of the TV tower in Antopol," Head of the Rivne Military Administration Vitaliy Koval said at a briefing.
Rescuers continue to clear away rubble after missile strikes. 15 units of special equipment of the State Emergency Service and 90 rescuers have been involved in the rescue operation.
As reported, TV and radio broadcasting in the Rivne region was suspended due to the destruction of the TV tower hit by an enemy airstrike.
On February 24, Russian president Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, conduct massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.
