Ukraine war update: morning of March 15
That’s according to General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
As of 06:00 on March 15, there have been no significant changes in the position and nature of actions of Ukraine’s defense forces. The Army is inflicting devastating blows on groupings of enemy troops, targeting their rear infrastructure.
Over the past day, the Air Force downed four helicopters and a warplane, while a Ukrainian fighter was shot down an enemy cruise missile.
According to the General Staff, groupings of Russian troops engaged in the offensive had not much success in any of the operational areas. The main efforts are still focused on holding ground on the already occupied positions.
The enemy pursues missile and bomb strikes on critical infrastructure, using a network of health care facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to treat their wounded.
The invaders also continue to use civilian infrastructure to equip firing positions and place heavy weaponry and military hardware.
According to the General Staff, due to the inability to maintain infrastructure operations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Russians have suspended further mobilization of utility workers.
The poor moral and psychological condition of enemy forces leads to their servicemen refusing to fulfill their commanders’ orders.
The available reports suggest that mobilized residents from the temporarily occupied territories in Luhansk region are being deployed to the front line to replenish Russian invasion forces amid losses sustained.
The enemy pursues its efforts to seize the strategic port city of Mariupol on the Sea of Azov. Ukrainian defenders successfully repulsed the attacks. Over the past day, the invaders lost nearly 150 servicemen, two main battle tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles, and an armored personnel carrier.
