Russian terrorists get fierce resistance, enemy suffers significant losses – Ukraine's General Staff

As of 18:00 on March 16, Russian invaders are receiving fierce resistance from Ukraine's defense forces. The occupiers suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"Day 21 of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion continues. The offensive operation against Ukraine is underway. The enemy receives fierce resistance from units of the state's defense forces. The occupiers are suffering significant losses in manpower and equipment," the statement said.

According to the statement, air defense units of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed two Su-30SM fighter aircraft in the Odesa region, a Ka-52 helicopter near Mykolaiv and a Su-34 fighter-bomber in the Chernihiv region. Data on enemy losses is being clarified.

Between February 24 and March 16, Russian troops lost 430 tanks, 1,375 armored fighting vehicles, 190 artillery systems, 70 multiple launch rocket systems, 43 air defense systems, 84 aircraft, 108 helicopters, 819 vehicles, three ships/boats, 60 fuel tankers, 11 tactical UAVs, and ten special vehicles.
