Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi District hit with Russian shells: warehouse on fire, two people dead
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“On March 17, 2022, at about 04:30 p.m., several reports came simultaneously about fires in Sviatoshynskyi District. Two cars were hit by Russian shells and caught fire. At 05:04 p.m., the fire was extinguished. One person died,” the report states.
The nearby grass area of 5,000 square meters also caught fire. Firefighting works are underway.
In addition, a fire broke out in the warehouse premises within an area of 10,000 square meters. There is a threat of shell explosion and, thus, firefighting works are carried out from a safe distance. According to the preliminary data, one person died in fire.
