EU transfers another EUR 300M in emergency aid to Ukraine
According to Ukrinform, Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said this in a statement on Twitter.
"Today Ukraine receives another €300 million in EU emergency MFA aid. The EU will continue to provide political, financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. For first time ever, EU will finance purchase & delivery of weapons to a country under attack," Dombrovskis wrote.
Ukrinform reported earlier that the first 300 million euros in EU macro-financial assistance was transferred to Ukraine on March 11.
The decision to provide EUR 1.2 billion in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine was adopted by the European Parliament and the European Council on February 24, 2022 and approved by the European Commission on March 1.
