Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson had a phone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, March 20.

The British prime minister wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“I spoke to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky this afternoon to set out how I will be working to advance Ukraine’s interests at meetings of NATO and the G7 this week,” he wrote.

Johnson added that the UK would continue to step up military, economic and diplomatic support “to help bring an end to this terrible conflict.”

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
