Biden calls Russia's possible use of chemical weapons a ‘real threat’

U.S. President Joe Biden has said that Russia’s possible use of chemical weapons in Ukraine is a “real threat”.

He said this on Wednesday, before boarding the presidential helicopter, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I think it’s a real threat,” Biden said, when asked by reporters about a threat of chemical attack.

As Ukrinform reported, the permanent representatives of the United States, Albania, France, Ireland, Norway and the United Kingdom to the United Nations issued a joint statement exposing Moscow in lies regarding the development of "biological weapons" in Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
