A total of 590 StarLink satellite Internet stations provided by Elon Musk’s SpaceX have been transferred to Ukrainian medical and healthcare institutions.

That’s according to the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.

"Starlink global satellite stations are already being deployed in healthcare facilities around the country. Thanks to SpaceX's broadband satellite, our hospitals will always be able to remain connected. This is extremely important in times of war," said Ukraine’s Health Minister Viktor Liashko.

According to the Minister, StarLink systems will be used by health care facilities during blackouts or problems with the core power network. This will allow hospitals to retain access to satellite Internet even in areas where there is a temporary lack of communication due to active hostilities.

StarLink Hospitals have been supported by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
