After the defeat in Trostianets, Sumy region, a commander of the 13th Tank Regiment, a part of the Kantemirovskaya Division, shot himself. A commander of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District was removed from the post.

“The information that a commander of the 13th Tank Regiment, a part of the Kantemirovskaya Division, shot himself, came from the Chief Directorate of Intelligence on the evening of March 26,” the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

Moreover, Lieutenant General Sergey Kisel, commander of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District, which includes the infamous "elite" Kantemirovskaya Division, was removed from the post.

It is noted that Kisel was dismissed due to huge losses and the failure of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

"We do not rule out that the escape of the Russian army from Trostianets was the last straw. And then it was impossible for the Russian leadership to turn a blind eye to the poor management of troops," Ukraine’s Armed Forces added.

Earlier it was reported that the 200th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Russian Federation had lost 648 servicemen who fought against Ukraine. Three survived, two of them were wounded.
