Occupiers abduct head of territorial community in Kherson region

Russian occupiers abducted Oleh Yakhnienko, the head of Mylove village territorial community in Kherson region.

"Oleh Yakhnienko, the head of Mylove village territorial community, was abducted," the Kherson Regional State Administration posted on Facebook.

As noted, Viktoria Dmytrieva was appointed as an acting head. The community is currently cut off from gas, electricity, and water supply and experiences problems with medicines, the regional state administration informed.

Earlier, Russian invaders detained Oleksiy Konovalov, a member of the Henichesk Town Council from the Servant of the People party. There is also information about the possible abduction of Oleksandr Babych, head of the Hola Prystan, and Svitlana Fomina, head of Kalanchak.

Activist Serhiy Tsyhipa from Nova Kakhovka and many other residents of the region have gone missing.

On February 24, Russian president Putin started the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure, massively fire on the residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles. Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
