Two BTGs and commander of 200th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade destroyed near Kharkiv – General Staff
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“During battles near Kharkiv, the enemy’s 200th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade lost two battalion and tactical groups and the brigade’s commander, colonel Denis Kurilo. The losses of the 200th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade came to more than 1,500 troops,” the report states.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian troops expanded their ranks with the separate units of the 1st Tank Division. Here, Russian invaders continue to launch air and artillery strikes on Kharkiv and Barvinkove and are attempting to capture Izium. Battles are raging near Kamianka, Sukha Kamianka and Tykhotske.
In general, according to the General Staff, the enemy’s offensive operation failed. The separate units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were withdrawn from Kyiv Region and Chernihiv Region. Meanwhile, there is a high risk of Russia’s strikes on military and civil infrastructure facilities.
In the Volyn direction, Belarusian troops are covering the state border and conducting demonstrative actions.
In the Polissia direction, Russian troops are launching artillery strikes, regrouping and partially retreating to the territory of Belarus.
In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy continues to block the city of Chernihiv. Russian invaders are attempting to gradually destroy military and civil objects. In the Brovary direction, the enemy did not take active actions.
In the Donetsk direction, Russian invaders increased fire pressure and intensified storming activities in most areas. The enemy launched air strikes on Voievodivka, Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Kreminna, Zolote-4, Popasna, Toretsk and Novhorodske. Russian troops are focusing efforts on capturing Popasna and Mariupol but failing to succeed.
In the city of Berdiansk, Russian invaders are attempting to restore port infrastructure.
In the Southern Bug direction, under the coverage of artillery strikes, the enemy is replenishing the combat capacity, ammunition and fuel reserves.
The Ukrainian defense forces continue to keep the defense in the Eastern, South-Eastern and North-Eastern directions. The Ukrainian military are holding the enemy back across all directions and pushing the enemy back in certain areas.
A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
