Situation in regions: combats near Kyiv and in Chernihiv, shelling in Luhansk region, Donbas and Kharkiv
According to Ukrinform, regional administrations said this in a joint report on the situation in the regions as of 08:00 on March 31.
In the Luhansk region, Lysychansk has been the focus of enemy attention for two days now. Dozens of people were wounded and at least seven were killed last night as a result of shelling. An oil refinery is burning.
On the evening of March 30, Russian missiles hit an oil depot in the Dnipropetrovsk region and an asphalt plant in Novomoskovsk. There were no fatalities. It is now quiet in the region.
Shelling of residential areas of Kharkiv continues, in the evening the enemy damaged a gas pipeline, rescuers extinguished the fire. The Russians shelled the Derhachi district, one person was killed, the number of casualties is being calculated. Active fighting continues near Izium. It is impossible to evacuate the population due to constant shelling, and volunteers are trying to deliver humanitarian aid.
It was relatively quiet in the Kherson region. There were isolated explosions in remote areas, particularly those bordering the Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Information on casualties and fatalities is being clarified. In many localities in the region, the situation is close to a humanitarian disaster.
In the Donetsk region, Russian troops shelled Mariinka with phosphorus shells, and multiple rocket launchers were fired at Avdiivka, Heorhiivka, Novokalynove and Ocheretyne. The situation in Mariupol remains unchanged.
Defensive battles are fought in Chernihiv, yesterday afternoon the enemy shelled the city suburbs. Fighting continues in the central part of the Chernihiv region in the directions of the movement of enemy columns.
In the Kyiv region, the Bucha direction remains the hottest spot, where shelling of Irpin, Makariv and settlements along the Zhytomyr highway continues. There are fights on the territories of the Hostomel and Bucha communities. At night, the invaders shelled the village of Shpytky. The enemy moves around the occupied settlements. Slavutych is isolated. Russians remain in three communities of Brovary district and in the north of Vyshhorod district.
The night passed relatively quietly in the regions of Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Ternopil, Zaporizhzhia, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Sumy and Mykolaiv.
