Ukrainian TV channels available in most enemy-free areas
This was stated by the State Service of Special Communicationі and Information Protection of Ukraine on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
As of 13:00 on Saturday, April 2, the National Centre for Operational and Technical Management of Telecommunications Networks governed by the State Special Communications Service fully manages the broadcasting networks in times of war.
The situation with mobile networks in Ukraine did not change significantly in the past 24 hours. The Donetsk, Kyiv and Chernihiv Regions remain the most problematic areas.
At the same time, mobile networks operators have launched works to restore the coverage in the settlements of Kyiv Region that were liberated from the Russian invaders. In particular, Vodafone put the first base station near Irpin and Romanivka online due to Starlink equipment from SpaceX.
Despite all the difficulties and destruction of the infrastructure done by the enemy, the operators continue to provide mobile and Internet services as stated by the State Special Communications Service.
“In order for companies to continue to work stably to ensure the functioning of networks and the provision of services, we remind all Ukrainians of the importance of paying for services,” the agency said.
On April 1, Ukrtelecom specialists repaired the damaged core network and restored the services in the Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv Regions.
According to the State Special Communications Service, the company's services are currently provided in all regions of Ukraine, except the eastern Luhansk Region. Experts are looking for opportunities to restore telecommunications services.
For the past 24 hours, the country's ISPs have registered 128 instances of damaged networks or the unavailability of equipment.
The Radio and Television Broadcasting Concern, which is administered by the State Special Communications Service, maintains the work of the television infrastructure so that Ukrainians can receive truthful information.
Satellite broadcasting works stably.
As Ukrinform reported, national roaming has been fully operational in Ukraine since March 13, which allows one operator to connect to the network of another in case of disconnection.
