Two civilians killed in Russian shelling of Chuhuiv
The press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"According to the investigation, on April 4, 2022, the Russian occupiers carried out artillery shelling of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region. As a result, a number of houses were damaged and destroyed. A 38-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, who were in one of the houses, died," the report says.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
