Battle for Donbas will be key in current Russia-Ukraine war – Yermak

The relevant statement was made by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The battle for Donbas will be key in our people’s war. We have already withstood the battle for Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and many other cities. The Army is keeping the defense in Mariupol. But, the further development of events in the war with Russia will be determined in the battle for Donbas,” Yermak wrote.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, torturing and murdering civilians.
