G7 countries to help Ukraine rebuild hospitals after war
Ukraine's Deputy Health Minister Oleksii Yaremenko said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"The G7 countries will help Ukraine build its health care system after the war. In particular, we are talking about restoring medical facilities in the territories liberated from the occupiers," Yaremenko said.
He noted that now Ukraine's medical system also needs assistance.
"We have agreed with our colleagues from the G7 countries that the leading countries will increase humanitarian support for Ukraine, especially when it comes to providing vital medicines. Our medical system will be strengthened by foreign doctors who will work with Ukrainian crews and provide assistance to victims," Yaremenko said.
According to the Ministry of Health, 291 hospitals have been damaged, 18 of them completely destroyed, since the beginning of full-scale hostilities in Ukraine. Some 73 ambulances were damaged by shelling and 105 more were seized by the occupiers.
