Ukrainian defenders down enemy plane in Luhansk region

"Our defenders shot down an enemy plane in Luhansk region. The fighting is ongoing, the enemy suffers losses," Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai posted on Facebook.

He added that a local resident had been killed on Monday in the Russian shelling of Lysychansk. The populated localities of Luhansk region are under constant fire.

Earlier, Ukrainian defenders destroyed an enemy ammunition depot in Novoaydar, Haidai noted.

The Russian aggressor is attacking Luhansk region continuously with various weapons – Tornado-C, Grad MLRS, aviation bombs, etc. Many residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, educational institutions have been destroyed in the region, and all hospitals are damaged.

On February 24, Russian president Putin started a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure, missiles hit residential houses.
