Enemy warships are not approaching the Odesa coast as they are aware of the readiness of the Armed Forces’ coastal defense units to repel attacks, as well as due to the stormy weather in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

Therefore, the only probable risk is missile attacks from the temporarily occupied Crimea, says military official Vladyslav Nazarov, Ukrinform reports.

"The invaders continue to seek ways to improve their position in the Mykolayiv direction, but our troops stop with weapons the insidious attempts at pathetic attacks, leaving the enemy no chance... Stormy weather on the Black Sea with a predicted deterioration makes for unfavorable conditions for assault landing," he noted.

However, according to the military official, the threat of missile attacks both from the sea and the temporarily occupied Crimea remains in place.

Colonel Nazarov noted that the Russians disregard the norms of International Humanitarian Law and continue to use civilians in southern Ukraine as human shields, as well as placing equipment in the backyards and brazenly occupying households. Moreover, they resort to the practice of changing into civilian outfits to mask their affiliation with the disgraced army.

February 24, Russia began a new phase of the war against Ukraine, massively shelling and bombarding peaceful Ukrainian cities and towns. The entire nation has risen to fight off the invaders.
