Russian invaders are trying to launch an offensive in some areas. In Donetsk direction, the enemy made futile attempts to storm Marinka.

"During the day, the situation in all directions has not changed significantly. The enemy continues to launch missile strikes on industrial and civil infrastructure facilities in Ukraine and tries to launch an offensive in some areas. Air strikes on the city of Mariupol are ongoing. Kharkiv city remain to be blocked partially. The enemy made futile attempts to storm Marinka in Donetsk direction,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

It is noted that in violation of international humanitarian law, the occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories continue to oppress the rights of Ukrainian citizens. Violating the rules of warfare, the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups steal or, threatening physical violence, take away vehicles and civilian clothes from local residents to carry out acts of sabotage in the territory of Ukraine.

In order to suppress Ukrainian resistance, the Russian occupiers filter and search for people ever involved in military service.

In addition, in the temporarily occupied areas of Luhansk region, the enemy uses buildings and adjacent territories of secondary schools to deploy additional field hospitals, storages of weapons, ammunition and military equipment.

In some localities, the enemy tries to imitate elections and illegally appoint "local governments" from among local residents loyal to the occupying power.

The General Staff underscores that the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold designated defensive lines, inflict losses on the enemy, and gradually liberate settlements from the Russian troops.

As reported, for the first time since the beginning of the military aggression, Russian troops launched strikes from long-range Tu-22M3 bombers. A strike was launched on Mariupol.
