Ukrainian president, Croatian PM discuss importance of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic the importance of ratcheting up sanctions pressure on Russia.

The head of state announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Held talks with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. Informed about the course of countering Russian aggression. Discussed the importance of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. Thanked for supporting Ukraine's movement to the EU and for the important defensive assistance," Zelensky said.

On February 24, the Russian Federation launched a new phase of its war against Ukraine. The enemy has been shelling and bombing peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns and villages, brutally torturing and killing civilians.
