Russian shelling of Mykolaiv region: Ten civilians injured over past day
Hanna Zamazeyeva, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"Ochakiv was hit by banned cluster shells yesterday. Since last evening, most districts of Mykolaiv have been chaotically fired upon. Civilian facilities, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure of the city have been damaged,” she wrote.
Zamazeyeva added that 10 people were wounded in the past 24 hours in Mykolaiv region. Fortunately, there are no children among the victims.
Russian shelling hit kindergartens and schools in the city and the region. All damages have been registered.
Overall, as of April 19, there were 295 citizens in hospitals, who suffered from Russian attacks on Mykolaiv region.
As reported, Russian rocket and bomb attacks damaged the city infrastructure and left Mykolaiv residents without the centralized water supply.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
