More than 600,000 additional people were internally displaced in Ukraine in the first 17 days of April.

The new assessment conducted between April 11 and 17 showed that women represent at least 60% of those who leave the country because of hostilities.

It is also noted that more than half of internally displaced persons - mainly in the east of Ukraine - reported a lack of some food products.

As reported, according to data provided by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), more than 5 million people fled Ukraine because of the war waged by the Russian Federation.
