Death toll in Russia’s missile strikes on Odesa rises to six
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Currently, six people were reported killed, including one child, and 18 injured. Two persons were rescued from under the rubble. A total of 86 people were evacuated. 96 rescuers of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service and 18 equipment units are working at the scene. Rescue works are underway,” the report states.
The 16-storey apartment block was hit by Russia’s missile strike and caught fire. The fire was localized within the area of 220 square meters at 03:54 p.m. and extinguished at 05:00 p.m.
A reminder that, on Saturday, April 23, 2022, the Russian military launched missile strikes from the Caspian Sea on the city of Odesa. The enemy missile hit a 16-storey apartment block in Odesa’s Kyivskyi District, causing a fire.
