Russian troops open fire on two evacuation buses in Luhansk region
Mykola Khanatov, the head of the Popasna City Military-Civil Administration, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"Yesterday we evacuated 31 people from Popasna. There were much more people [willing to evacuate], so two more buses were sent to the city. It is known that they reached the settlement and came under fire from an enemy’s subversive group. The buses were shelled. There is no contact with the people that were in the vehicle and organized the evacuation,” Khanatov said.
As reported, Luhansk region is under continuous attacks by the Russian invaders. Many residential buildings, infrastructure, and educational facilities were destroyed in the region, all hospitals were damaged.
According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, more than 60,000 civilians have refused to evacuate and are remaining in the region.
