In Luhansk region, enemy trying unsuccessfully to break through defense in three directions

In Luhansk region, Russian invaders are trying unsuccessfully to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in three directions.

The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Haidai, said this during a nationwide telethon on Ukrainian TV channels, Ukrinform reports.

“The enemy continues to fire on all settlements of Luhansk region, trying to break through our defense in three directions - Popasna, the Hirska community from Zolote, and Novotoshkivske, where there is fighting in Nyzhne and in the direction of Rubizhne to Severodonetsk. Very intense battles are ongoing, but they can't break through our defense,” Haidai said.  

According to him, in Luhansk region, the Russian aggressor is acting according to the Mariupol scenario, the cities in the region have been almost completely destroyed, each settlement has been destroyed by more than 70%.

As reported, Luhansk region is under continuous attacks by the Russian invaders. Many residential buildings, infrastructure, and educational facilities were destroyed in the region, all hospitals were damaged.

According to Haidai, more than 60,000 civilians have refused to evacuate and are remaining in the region.
