Russian troops are gradually increasing the intensity of the offensive in eastern Ukraine simultaneously in all directions, and their greatest activity is observed in the Slobozhanshchyna and Donetsk directions.

Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesperson Oleksandr Motuzianyk said this at a briefing on Saturday, April 30, Ukrinform reports.

He said that the enemy is conducting an offensive operation in the Eastern Operational Zone.

Motuzianyk stressed that the main goal of the enemy remains the same – encircling the Ukrainian defense forces, establishing full control over the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions, and creating a land corridor with the occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"There are signs of the aggressor's preparation for even greater intensification of hostilities. […] In Balakliia Central Clinical District Hospital, beds are being vacated and an additional field hospital has been set up. In the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, additional refrigerators have been deployed on the territory of a military clinical hospital to store the bodies of fallen servicemen," Motuzianyk said.

A full-scale war against Russian invaders has been going on in Ukraine since February 24.
