Army destroys 40 Russian invaders, five tanks in eastern Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine killed 40 invaders and destroyed five tanks in the east of the country on May 3.
According to Ukrinform, the Operational and Tactical Group East reported this on Facebook.
"On May 3, in the area of responsibility of the Operational and Tactical Group East, Russian fascist troops carried out three attacks. Ukrainian artillery inflicted fire damage on [enemy] vehicles and an ammunition depot was destroyed. Fighting continues," the statement said.
The enemy lost 40 soldiers, five tanks, two IFVs, seven artillery systems, and a mortar.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian defenders had already killed about 24,200 Russian soldiers from February 24 to May 3.
