Ukrainians asked not to report on Army gains before General Staff issues official statements
The official addressed the issue on the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"The Army’s plans cannot be announced during the war because then they won’t be implemented. Information is also an element of warfare, and it is very important. <...> Even the moment when the Army regains control of a certain settlement, we can't report about it,” Maliar said.
She recalled that the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense confirmed the information about the counter-offensive efforts of the Armed Forces and the successful outcome of certain operations.
At the same time, according to Maliar, the General Staff will deliver more details only once the operations in certain areas have been completed.
As Ukrinform reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on May 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regained control of the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Fedorivka, Ukrainka, Shestakovo, Peremoha, and part of the village of Cherkaski Tyshky in the Kharkiv direction.
