Ukrainian military liberates four settlements in Kharkiv region
"The enemy increases the pace of strategic offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone, opens fire along the entire line of contact and on the depths of the defense of our troops. The greatest activity of the occupiers is observed in Slobozhansky and Donetsk directions. There is still a high probability of missile strikes on civilian and military infrastructure," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook, outlining the operational situation at the front as of 18:00.
In Volyn and Polissya directions, the enemy did not take active action. There was a movement of military equipment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus as part of the combat readiness check and the completion of the rotation of individual units involved in strengthening the protection of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel regions.
In Siversky direction, the enemy continues to guard the Ukrainian-Russian border in Bryansk and Kursk regions, firing mortars in the border areas near Karpovychi and Senkivka in Chernihiv region.
The enemy did not conduct active offensive operations in Slobozhansky direction. The invaders regroup their units, equip advanced positions, strengthen the air defense system, enhances the system of medical support.
In order to strengthen their troops and to prevent the advance of Ukrainian units, the aggressors redeployed up to 500 mobilized persons from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
In addition, in the Izium direction, the enemy continued to create favorable conditions for the offensive, replenishing ammunition and logistics, equipping advanced positions, and strengthening air reconnaissance.
Unsuccessful attempts to establish control over Rubizhne continue to be made in Sievierodonetsk direction. The enemy carries out assault operations in the areas of the settlements of Nyzhnie, Toshkivka, Orikhove, Luhansk region, has no success.
The enemy also tries to gain a foothold in the area of Oleksandrivka, assaults in the area of Shandryholove, Donetsk region, but has no success.
In Donetsk direction, the occupiers attempted to assault in the directions of the town of Marinka, the settlements of Kamyanka, Yasynuvata district, and Novomykhailivka, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. Their attempts failed.
In the city of Mariupol, the enemy continues to focus its efforts on blocking and eliminating Ukrainian units in the area of the Azovstal steelworks. The assault operations are conducted with the support of artillery and tanks.
According to the General Staff, the situation in Zaporizhzhia and the Southern Buh directions has not changed significantly.
The enemy continues to suffer losses in the territory of Ukraine. Thus, according to available information, units of the 138th separate mechanized brigade of the 6th combined arms army of the western military district were withdrawn from Ukraine to Russia’s Belgorod region due to significant losses in Kharkiv region. A significant part of the remaining military personnel serving under contract wrote reports on dismissal.
As a result of the coordinated actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in Kharkiv region, the settlements of Cherkaski Tyshky, Ruski Tyshky, Rubizhne, and Bayrak were liberated.
