It is unlikely that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will soon instruct his army to launch a ground operation in Ukraine.

Vadym Denysenko, an adviser to Ukraine's interior minister, said this during an all-Ukrainian information marathon, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"It is still unlikely that Lukashenko will instruct his army to launch a ground operation in Ukraine in the near future," he said.

He also recalled that the Belarusian army is currently conducting exercises.

Denysenko clarified that on Tuesday there was a lot of unverified information that Smerch multiple launch rocket systems and other artillery units were driving to the border with Ukraine.

"In principle, I would like to say that there is only one training ground in Belarus where such live fire exercises can be conducted, and it is relatively close to the Ukrainian border. And, unfortunately, in view of this, Ukraine must concentrate and leave significant forces on the border with Belarus," Denysenko said.

At the same time, according to him, despite the fact that the situation is somewhat tense, it is still unlikely that Lukashenko will soon order his army to launch a ground operation in Ukraine.
