A huge evacuation convoy of vehicles with residents of the besieged Ukrainian port city of Mariupol is heading to Zaporizhzhia.
Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Mariupol. Evacuation. Good news. A huge convoy of cars with Mariupol's residents (from 500 to 1,000 cars), who were waiting for the passage for more than three days, was finally allowed to drive towards Zaporizhzhia. Finally, we are waiting for our native Mariupol residents at home," Andriushchenko wrote.
