Ukrainian troops blow up Russian-captured railway bridges in Luhansk region
"Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are destroying lines of communication in the enemy's rear. A successful operation in Luhansk region resulted in blown up railway bridges between the towns of Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk earlier captured by Russians," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
The General Staff notes that the purpose of the operation was to prevent the Russian aggressors from attacking Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk.
As reported, according to Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai, Ukraine controls 10% of the territory of Luhansk region: Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk, the outskirts of Rubizhne, and Hirske territorial community.
