82-year-old retiree seriously injured in cluster munitions blast in Dnipropetrovsk Region

In Kryvyi Rih District, Dnipropetrovsk Region, an 82-year old Ukrainian retiree has been injured when handling cluster munitions. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Head Valentyn Reznichenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The 82-year-old man collected seven bomblets from cluster munitions. He brought them home and tried to disassemble them. They exploded,” Reznichenko wrote.

Reznichenko again urged civilians to not touch any explosives left after enemy shelling and call the police or rescuers instead.

A reminder that six people were killed with cluster munitions in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
