Russian troops struck the infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr region. The Ukrainian air defense units shot down four missiles.
“Today, May 22, at about 13:00, the enemy launched a missile strike on the infrastructure of Zhytomyr region. The air defense units of the Air Command ‘Center’ downed four cruise missiles,” the Air Command “Center” posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
It is noted that three missiles were destroyed by aircraft, and another one – by a unit of anti-aircraft missile forces.
According to available information, Zhytomyr region was attacked from the south-eastern direction by sea-launched cruise missiles.
As reported, the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian missile over Fastiv district of Kyiv region on Sunday. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage.
